Make good use of aluminum alloy materials as the shell structure of industrial products
Hello seniors, I have recently published several articles about the characteristics of aluminum alloy die-casting metal shells. Aluminum alloy die-casting is an efficient metal forming process. Molten aluminum alloy is injected into the mold under high pressure, so that it solidifies quickly and forms a precise shell structure. Its performance is better than the molecular structure of plastic materials. It is not afraid of severe cold and heat, and has good weather resistance. Proper coating treatment can resist salt spray oxidation.
This process is widely used in electronic products, automotive parts, mechanical equipment and other fields. Its main features are as follows:
1. High strength and light weight
Aluminum alloy has high strength and rigidity and can provide good structural support.
Compared with traditional steel, the density of aluminum alloy is only about 1/3, which can significantly reduce the weight and is suitable for lightweight design needs.
2. High precision and complex structure forming capabilities
Die casting technology can achieve high-precision dimensional control, reduce the need for subsequent processing, and improve production efficiency.
Ability to manufacture metal housings with complex shapes, including designs such as small structures, internal supports or heat sink fins, to improve product functionality.
3. Excellent heat dissipation performance
Aluminum alloy has good thermal conductivity and is suitable for electronic equipment housings, helping to dissipate heat and increase component life.
It is particularly common in high-power electronic products (such as LED lighting fixtures, network communications, switching servers, and power supplies).
4. Good corrosion resistance and durability
Aluminum alloy itself has a natural oxide layer, which can effectively resist oxidation and environmental corrosion.
The surface wear resistance and corrosion resistance can be further enhanced by anodizing, spraying or electroplating.
5. Efficient mass production and low cost
The die casting process is suitable for large-scale production, can quickly form and shorten the manufacturing cycle, and is more cost-effective than CNC machining.
Long mold life makes it suitable for mass production and helps reduce unit costs.
6. Good machining and surface treatment performance
The aesthetics and durability can be improved through CNC finishing, polishing, anodizing, sandblasting, laser engraving and other methods.
It has excellent paintability and can achieve different colors and texture effects, meeting product design requirements.
7. Recyclable and environmentally friendly
Aluminum alloy can be 100% recycled and reused, which is in line with environmental protection and sustainable development trends.
The energy consumption of recycled aluminum is only 5% to 10% of that of primary aluminum, reducing carbon emissions and resource waste.
Editor's sister say:
Aluminum alloy die-cast housings have the advantages of light weight, high strength, excellent heat dissipation, corrosion resistance, precision molding capabilities and efficient mass production, so they are widely used in electronic products, industrial equipment, automotive parts and other fields. Through proper surface treatment and design optimization, its durability and aesthetics can be further improved, making it an ideal shell material choice for modern industrial products.
