Rib design for product strength
The rib design in the die casting mold has a crucial influence on the strength of the product. The main reasons are as follows:
1. Improve structural rigidity
The rib design can increase the local rigidity of the product, making the thin-wall structure less likely to be deformed by external forces.

The optimized rib design can prevent fatigue damage, especially in applications under dynamic loads. The ribs can delay the generation and expansion of cracks and extend the service life of the product.
Design Points
Height and spacing of ribs: The height should be moderate to avoid uneven cooling caused by being too high, and the spacing should take into account the fluidity and mechanical requirements of the material.
Rounded corner design: The joints between the ribs and the base should be rounded to reduce stress concentration and prevent cracks.
The rib design not only affects the strength and performance of the product, but also has a profound impact on the stability and cost-effectiveness of the die-casting process.
